Cook Books

The following is a list of cook books that I highly recommend and use often. Most of them are available locally and all of them can be found on Amazon.com. Click on each book for the link.

Veganomicon   Veganomicon

This is a no frills comprehensive cookbook, but the recipes are far from boring. I don’t know how many recipes are in here, but it is A LOT. This thing is packed and it will take me years to get through it.

Veganomicon’s co-writer Isa Moskowitz went on to produce this still-practical-but-much prettier-cookbook, which has beautiful color pictures for many of the recipes. Each recipe has a sassy or sweet intro from Isa.

This fun cookbook doubles as a conversation piece at parties (you know, when you’re almost done with your 2 hour animal welfare rant). It features beautiful color pictures and swear words galore.

My mom gave me this cookbook for Christmas this year (Thanks Mom!) and the cheesecake recipe is my new addiction. It features a forward from Portia De Rossi and afterward by Ellen DeGeneres, two of my favorites.
